Are you new to couponing? Have you ever used a coupon or still have questions on how to get started in this SAVING MONEY game? I have been blessed to always have experience in my life with coupons. My grandmother used coupons, my mother used coupons, and I became a coupon enthusiast. I have compounded a list of the ins and outs of couponing:Manufacturer coupons Manufacturer coupons offer money off on various products, goods, and services. They can be found in your Sunday Newspaper. They are packets inside your paper that you clip for savings. Most newspapers have 1-4 inserts of coupons each week. Manufacturer coupons can also be found on the internet. I post all the online coupons I find and lost them to my blog so I can share the high Value coupons. There usually is a print limit so its best to check daily so you never miss a coupon. The main printable ones are coupons .com , red plum, smartscource and coupon network. You can contact the company via internet, mail or phone. I have the best results when I write the company and tell them how much I like their products or explain to them I have been wanting to try their new product and they mail me FREE coupons for their products. Some stores will allow you to use these coupons with their in store coupons for even more savings. You can also use these coupons on sales and on reduced or clearance items.
Coupons can only be used one timeFor example if there is a sale for 10 boxes of cereal for $10. And you have a coupon for a dollar off per box. You can only use that coupon one time on one product. Although if u had ten coupons for a $1.00 off a box then you could score 10 FREE boxes of cereal. It works the other way the same way. For example if you have 10 coupons for $1.00 off and you buy one package of diapers you can only use ONE coupon for that product.
Coupons CAN NOT be copiedIt is illegal to copy coupons. There are many legal ways to get multiple coupons. You could buy multiple newspapers, ask family or friends for any unused coupons that they don’t plan on using, print coupons off the internet. (usually you can print 2 alike coupons per computer) order from online at places like

TEARPAD - A pad of refund forms or coupons found hanging from a store shelf or display.
TRIPLE COUPON= A coupon that a grocery store triples in value.

Ignore the picture on the coupon and read the words Most manufacturer coupons put the most expensive product picture on their coupons but most coupons say “save on ANY brand product.
Look below at this coupon of Listerine it says on any Listerine product. So you could by the smallest size available. If you have multiple coupons then you could use 1 coupon per bottle that you buy.
As a couponer it is important to know all the rules and facts of your stores that you shop. Some will let you double coupons some wont. Some will let you use their in store coupons with manufacturer coupons some wont. When you are couponing the correct way(using the right coupon for the right product, using the right amount of coupons for the right amount of products, etc) then don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. You will run into those cashiers who hate coupons or are not trained well enough to understand. Coupons are like money and I hate throwing away money. Also watch the cashier to make sure each coupon is scanned and check your reciept before you leave the store to make sure you got all your savings. It might seem like a dollar isn’t much but if they do that each time you shop that could be HUNDREDS of dollars you lost.

BOGO or B1G1F or B1G1 Free = Buy One Get One Free.
CAT or CATALINA= Coupon that prints at the register after purchase.
CRT - Cash register tape ( coupon that prints in store.)
Double coupons = Coupon that a grocery store doubles in value.
ECB -CVS Extra Care Bucks earned for purchases.
Free Items Coupons= A coupon that allows you to get the product completely free.
IVC -Walgreen’s Instant Value Coupon ( Found in the monthy EasySaver Catalog ).
IPInternet Printable Coupon.
MFG -Manufacturer’s Coupon.
MIR- Mail In Rebate.
NED -No expiration date.
OOP -Out of Pocket, in reference to how much “real money” you will pay at the register.
OYNO - On your next order.
